So a couple years ago I decided that I wanted to be a writer. Spending four years doing a degree you’re only half-interested in really helps you figure that out. Aside from an occasional dabble in scripting, I like writing about pop culture. I’ve been freelancing (emphasis on free) reviews and news articles for a few years now, and was fortunate enough to get picked up by the Playeraffinity.com movie team last September. I love it really, just talking about entertainment, analyzing it, going way too in-depth about it, the whole shebang.
I started with movies because they were always the easiest thing to wrap my head around, but whether it’s TV, video games, books or music, if it’s meant to be experienced, it’s my favorite thing in the world to talk about. Better yet is having a great conversation about these things with people who feel the same. So those are the two main reasons I started this blog; getting my name out there for anyone looking to hire a guy who’s waist deep in pop culture, and trying to start a discussion with anyone who’s reading.
So drop a comment on a post, e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org, whatever, i’ll be doing lots of talking here, but it’s always better when you’ve got someone to talk to.
